Purpose of Job:
Day-to-day management of the Accounting function for all Latin America entities as well as the Houston Service Center (Zone).
Management of related computerized Accounting and support systems for the Zone.
Assuring adequate design of Internal Controls and compliance with company policy in the Zone.
Management of the Treasury functions in the entities including cash flow forecasts.
Preparation of Statutory accounts and financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and relevant international accounting guidance including translations.
Training, development and performance reviews of direct reports and subordinates.
Liaise with Sr. Management and Corporate functions (Internal Audit, Treasury, Credit & Collections, Tax, IT) on issues relating to the Zone.
Provide support and guidance to Operations personnel in the Zone as required.
Participation in and assistance with process improvement initiatives.
Nature of Job:
Develop processes and implement recommendations that ensure Elliott complies with US GAAP, FASB, local GAAP, IFRS, JSOX directives and various tax jurisdiction regulations.
Report the financial performance of the Zone entities in a timely and accurate manner.
Design and implement policies and procedures to ensure an adequate internal control structure and safeguarding corporate assets (cash management and collection, working capital, FCPA exposure, Balance Sheet reconciliations).
Management and supervision of others to accomplish broader goals and objectives.
Flexibility to handle various financial and operational special projects as required.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently without continuous management.
