This is a senior analyst function that collects, calculates, records, consolidates, and analyzes project and percent of completion (POC) cost data. Manages the calculation and recording of POC sales, margins to booking, and through completion to close.  Coordinates the Cost Management and Order Administration on accurately and timely order process and updates including the process for booking new orders and order changes.


Travel will be frequent the first 6-12 months, approximately 50-75%. Travel will be less frequent thereafter, from minimal to approximately 20%.


  • Responsible for owning, administering & managing IFS (ERP system), POC & Projects accounting for the Cryodynamic Products (Cryo) business unit.
  • Complete the processes and updates of the projects revenue and cost files and cost databases.
  • Run the ERP processes for cost collection and revenue generation for the Cryo business unit orders within IFS Projects.
  • Produce, verify, and distribute the monthly percent complete schedules for the Cryo business unit.
  • Process and post all monthly and quarterly percent complete accounting entries and adjustments and complete related reconciliations.
  • Facilitate and process project closings including inventory account reconciliations and any job closing journal entries required.
  • Develop forecasts for percent complete sales, margins, commissions, loss job provisions and liquidated damages.
  • Provide project and percent of completion balance sheet information to Financial Planning.
  • Lead process to collect, explain and present information to internal and external auditors on the percent complete process.
  • Provide information and analysis to external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis including manage verification of status of percent complete between company and customers, pull cost details out of IFS, perform analysis of data, and present to auditors to explain any deviations.
  • Provide management project cost information on a monthly basis.
  • Advise Operation and Project Managers of cost issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare the following quarterly reports: POC Stravis, Trial Balance vs. POC Reconciliation, CEB/BEC (Cost Excess of Billings / Billings Excess of Cost) updates, OAR (Audit Reports).
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets revenue, cost of sales and margins.
  • Assist with the eventual migration from IFS to Oracle.
  • Prepare Ad Hoc analysis, reports and other requests as needed.


  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ work experience in jobs related to finance, accounting, business analyst, product and project costing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of POC accounting, financial, manufacturing, and project-based organizations and methods.
  • Superior analytical, organizational, ERP, and computer skills, including Excel. Exposure to the IFS ERP system highly preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing of an engineered product environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as this position interacts with all departments and all levels of management.
  • Supervisory and/or leadership skills are a plus.
