  • Overview

    To support Elliott’s Treasury and Credit management functions by evaluating credit for new customer orders, forecasting corporate cash flows, maintaining Treasury systems, and reporting on the Treasury Department’s performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly Contract Administration performance reports.
    • Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports; i.e. age analysis by company, problem account list and cash collections.
    • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual accounts receivable for balance sheet forecasts and budgets.
    • Update and publish letter of credit tracking report and taking action where required to confirm the letters of credit are current and do not expire.
    • Review terms and conditions of Letters of Credit to assure full and prompt payment.
    • Within credit limit can grant or deny extension of credit and terms of payment on both domestic and international sales orders based upon review and analysis of customer's financial position.
    • Expedite collection of accounts receivable according to the contract terms of payment by:
      • Direct contact with customers via telephone, E-mail, fax and personal visits.
      • Contact with field Financial, Sales and Service offices, representatives and Jeannette-based departments whose actions may be required to resolve problems.
    • Review customers' Purchase Orders to insure payment terms are acceptable.
    • Maintain, reconcile and resolve intercompany accounts receivable.
    • Prepare monthly customer collection forecast.
    • Collect financial information on customers or prospective customers from credit agencies, banks, trade references and marketing.
    • Analyze financial information of customers or prospective customers for the purpose of credit approval consistent with Company/Corporate policy.
    • Review and update customer credit files.
    • Balance daily lockbox receipts in Oracle.
    • Synchronize CRM, Oracle and GetPaid customer databases.
    • Prepare monthly AR reconciliation reports.
    • Complete monthly AR closing.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the Manager, Credit & Collections.
    • Implement strategic initiatives as directed by the Manager, Credit & Collections.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
    • At least three (3) years' work experience in Accounting, Finance, or similar function. Experience in a public accounting firm a plus.
    • Ability to analyze information such as financial statements, credit agencies and bank reports.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively interact with various departments and levels of management within and outside of the Company.
    • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes.
