    The Pricing and Order Services Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and control of all phases of the Service Parts pricing program. The position requires accuracy and attention to detail in order to avoid potential pricing errors and revenue and/or margin erosion.  Accurate market and product information with regard to price levels and competition is a must.  The individual must pay close attention to market conditions when developing pricing strategies to eliminate potential loss of profit.  Pricing audits must be performed on a regular basis to ensure that maximum price levels are achieved across various product lines and all global entities.  The manager provides monthly measures of success with regard to all pricing initiatives.  Confidentiality is required in reference to pricing information.  It is the goal of this manager to improve parts pricing and consistency and increase profitability for Service Parts.   Since the number of active and inactive parts in the system is voluminous, this individual must have exceptional skills in the area of data analysis, manipulation and management.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and provide guidance to personnel in the Pricing and Order Services teams.
    • Manage the Service Parts vault operation for the maintenance and security of Elliott shop order records.
    • Analyze current Service Parts pricing levels across product lines. Develop and implement updated pricing programs to generate profitable revenue growth. Implement the programs through the Pricing Team.
    • Establish overall Global Service parts pricing strategy development for improved profitability and work with all entities to apply the strategy to specific businesses and markets. This includes all geographic regions, service shops, and spare parts sold with new apparatus.
    • Responsible for defining, developing, executing and maintaining Service Parts pricing initiatives and strategies.
    • Responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining all price lists.
    • Maintain Customer Price Lists and Pricing Agreements.
    • Maintain Standard Price Lists.
    • Maintain the Global Price Book.
    • Evaluate discount requests and devise recommended revised pricing levels.
    • Analysis of pricing and perform ad hoc reporting on major competitors, specific customers, market segmentation, products, and market share/potential using qualitative and quantitative information.
    • Champion new value-generating opportunities for pricing of Service Parts.
    • Implement and direct the execution of price increase effectiveness and measuring success.
    • Develop product line pricing models and generate metrics on pricing performance.
    • Makes decisions based on analysis of statistical information to determine adjustments to pricing strategies.
    • Modifies product and market strategies to match changing corporate goals.
    • Evaluates trends in volume and profitability associated with all marketing channels, including E-Commerce.
    • Provide pricing consultation and act as an expert in pricing problem resolution to the Service Parts organization.
    • Develop and implement the use of pricing tools, and ensures practical application in Service Parts.
    • Identify pricing improvement opportunities within the organization Regions and Business Units and support the implementation of the required changes.
    • Leads cross-functional projects to improve pricing.
    • Conduct hands-on data collection, perform data analysis, and recommend pricing implementation proposals.

     

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or similar discipline.
    • Four (4) years’ experience in industrial (Business to Business) sales analysis of configured products.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • An understanding of Order Management and Pricing systems and how they relate to Service Parts.  Oracle experience preferred.
    • Excel proficiency is critical for this position.

     

    Preferred:

    • Demonstrated understanding of pricing fundamentals with prior experience in a Service Parts organization would be beneficial.
    • Knowledge of Elliott Company products, policies, procedures and practices, as well as knowledge of P & L plan regarding margin expectations.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing principles including labor estimation for all Elliott product lines.
