  • Overview

    This supervisor manages the Field Service Representatives and Machinery Specialists and work processes for repairs, installations, commissioning, etc. of turbomachinery at customer sites.  Travel to job sites is required approximately 50% of the time (domestic and international).

    Responsibilities

    • Encourages all applicable safety rules, regulations, policies and certificates are upheld and maintained.
    • Coordinate service time and on site services for Field Service to increase sales and profitability.
    • Direct all Field Service Representatives and Machinery Specialists so that they are properly utilized according to availability, skill level and applicable vertical scheduling guidelines.
    • Communicate with customers both verbally and in writing.
    • Monitor and review all expenses made by Field service Representatives and Mechanical Specialists in order to monitor costs.
    • Communicate potential warranty items to the appropriate Regional Field Service Manager.
    • Select proper personnel for assignments to enable jobs and repairs to be correctly completed.
    • Communicate with field personnel to insure they are fully prepared to execute their assignments.
    • Must develop and maintain personnel records for Field Service personnel to monitor their utilization.
    • Maintain and update Field Service schedule to reflect current and future jobs, training and vacations.
    • Perform scheduling of reports to assignments, including scheduling vacations, time off, holidays, etc., on the master schedule.
    • Coordinate and manage travel arrangements in order to meet project requirements, including airfare, rental cars, hotel and other travel details.
    • Manage, coordinate, and schedule third party vendors (contractors) as required to meet project requirements.
    • Coordinate with other Elliott entities such as Service Centers, factories (both union & non-union) to maximize Elliott content and maintain Elliott staffing levels as required on projects.
    • Maximizes Elliott personnel utilization to achieve Elliott goals and ensure Elliott personnel are used efficiently and effectively.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a TWIC card, Basic Plus Safety card and passport.
    • Knowledgeable about Elliott Company products, parts and organization.
    • Knowledgeable with the skills and experience of the Field Service Representatives and Machinery Specialists that report to this position.
    • Technical knowledge to communicate with the workforce and customers.
    • Ability to coordinate and schedule routine and complex projects and assignments.
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required in dealing with customers.
    • Computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) is essential.
