  • Overview

    Direct the activities of Inside Sale Representatives (ISR’s), Engineers and Buyers in relation to Kit Box project orders.  Work with Field Service group and Sales and direct activities of ISR’s and Pricing in coordination of Field Parts Audits conducted within the America’s Regions.

     

    Travel is estimated at 20-25% domestically, primarily for customer visits and to conduct training to the Sales and Field Service employees.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct the activities of Inside Sales Representatives, Engineers, Drafting and Procurement in relation to the Spare Parts Kit and Parts Audit Programs/Projects.
    • Responsible for managing and scheduling of all kit box project orders.
    • Coordinates with Outside Sales Engineers, support staff, upper management and customers on kit box orders.
    • Analyzes the components and scope of supply of each kit box order with Sales, Customers and Elliott Engineering.
    • Works directly with kit box foam and box supplier to ensure on-time delivery and quality of the product being delivered to customers.
    • Manages the on-time delivery of spare parts for each kit box, order setup, placement and creation of kit box documentation packages.
    • Manages the kit box inspection process with the Quality department and customers requiring in-depth quality dimension inspections.
    • Manages all logistics of kit boxes as well as creating shipping instructions for the Service Parts warehouse on preservation, packaging and placement of each part into kits.
    • Completes final inspection and sign off on each kit before delivery.
    • Responsible for continuous improvement of kit box program.
    • Manages the coordination and scheduling of Service Parts Audit Program.
    • Coordinates with Field Service, Sales and customers on scheduling of Parts audits, preparation and research of necessary paperwork to kick off the Parts audit process.
    • Works with the collection of results, manages the preparation of the Parts audit report, quote and results that are presented to the customer.
    • Identifies Parts Audit and Parts Kit new opportunities.
    • Directly interacts with customers on all Parts Kits and Parts Audit opportunities and assures strong relationships with these customers.
    • Support in reporting/metrics including CRM opportunities for the Parts Kits and Parts Audit Programs.
    • Interviews supplier representatives and when deemed advisable, arranges for and attends meetings with our engineers or other interested personnel.
    • Makes necessary supplier plant visitations as required.
    • Experienced/comfortable with leading presentations and trainings with internal and external customers.
    • Drives for Problem Resolution on any issues pertaining to Parts kits and Parts audit orders. Attends seminars and meetings as required.
    • Uses good value concepts and works with all departments to obtain maximum benefits.
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
    • Researches for technical knowledge of commodities assigned by reading and shop/supplier visits.
    • Operates within Union Contract and maintains good employee relations with bargaining and non-bargaining personnel.
    • Works in accordance with plant rules.
    • Works in a safe manner.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in a business-related field with 5 years of experience or 10 years of related experience.
    • Knowledge of mechanical/technical drawings preferred.
    • Manufacturing / industrial environment experience preferred. Production environment is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills due to interaction with many other department personnel.
    • Knowledge and skills to perform the processes from order entry to shipment.
    • Management skills to direct resources as required.
    • Extensive knowledge of master scheduling and how it affects inventory and on-time shipments.
    • High degree of expertise and knowledge of ERP system utilizing MRP and capacity management systems.
    • Experience with CRM preferred.
    • Computer skills and knowledge of associated software, including advanced Excel experience.
