The Product Design Engineer is responsible for engineering design requirements on upgrades, modifications, rerates and re-applications of Elliott and other OEMs turbines with the goal of applying the latest engineering knowledge, designs and solutions safely into turbomachinery in service.
The Product Design Engineer serves as the technical lead for aftermarket design projects within Elliott’s Engineered Solutions group. He or she will be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously and will also provide technical support for opportunity development, installation of our projects and repair if necessary. The Product Design Engineer serves as the technical liaison between the aftermarket business, Research and Development and new equipment engineering with the challenge of ensuring modifications and rerates comply with current design, API and safety standards.
The Product Design Engineer also supports or leads reverse engineering efforts for their assigned projects involving other OEMs equipment. Depending on the scope of the project, he/she may be involved with using measuring equipment to gather necessary design info for fit requirements of new components.
Travel is estimated at 10%, domestic or international to include Elliott service shops, customer sites, and suppliers.
The level and salary will be commensurate with experience.
