  • Overview

    The Analyst prepares a wide variety of financial and business analyses for financial and general management.  The analyses must include assessments, observations, recommendations and summaries to assist management in taking appropriate actions and decision making.


    • Insure accurate, consistent, and timely recording and reporting of financial data in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley (JSOX), and company policies and procedures.
    • Prepare and distribute Plan and Forecast Elliott Group (EG) financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
    • Prepare and distribute Plan and Forecast EG supporting schedules and other various analyses.
    • Prepare and submit Plan and Forecasts Stravis schedules for financial reporting to Ebara Corporation.
    • Plan and Forecast all Corporate departmental expenses and other Corporate P&L line items, eg. other income/deductions (OID), interest, taxes, etc.
    • Perform various balance sheet and cash flow Plan and Forecast activities.
    • Coordinate and support Corporate Capex planning, forecasting, and actual.
    • Create and maintain Corporate R&D Project Expense (D#’s) in Oracle Projects, including the supporting R&D book for Japan and US government.
    • Provide support for Corporate departmental expenses by distributing monthly expense reports to department managers, answering questions, investigating deviations, etc.
    • Update various financial requests and analysis for Ebara, including Gap Analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), EG Summary Sheet, etc.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Assist in quarterly and annual internal and external audits.
    • Perform special projects and assignments as requested.



    • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting / Finance required; MBA is desirable.
    • A minimum of five years’ experience, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidation. Global / multi-currency experience preferred.
    • Must be familiar with accounting principles as applied to profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and capital expenditure evaluations.
    • Strong analytical and communicative skills--ability to analyze and communicate variances to management.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments, have good judgement, and prioritize time.
    • Strong problem solving skills.
