    The role is that of a business partner to the Vice President (VP) of the Cryodynamic Products business unit providing financial and business support in all aspects of Operations.  Additionally, the role serves as a liaison for the business unit to Corporate Accounting.


    The ideal candidate will support and assist the VP in coordinating daily business operations such that daily and operational activities are aligned with strategic goals and appropriate feedback loops exist to both monitor progress and prompt intervention as appropriate.  The role will include the direction, coordination, preparation and consolidation of monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts, annual plans and periodic strategic plans for the product line.  Additionally, the role will provide analysis on monthly performance including financial analysis against specific benchmarks such as the annual plan and the current forecast.


    In addition to financial analysis related to actual and forecasted results, the position will also have responsibility for the prioritization, preparation and delivery of a wide variety of financial and business analyses. These analyses will include recommendations for improvement, identification of problems, and investigations into anomalies in data. The analyses must include assessments, observations, recommendations and summaries to assist management in taking appropriate actions.


    In many situations the Analyst will represent the VP at meetings and as such must understand the full strategic product direction and the detail of how it is being deployed and immediate priorities in that deployment. The role requires leadership and internal selling skills to ensure projects are completed without the continual oversight of the VP.


    Travel is estimated at 15-20% between Jeannette, PA and Sparks, NV and other Elliott domestic or international locations.


    • Analyzes actual results and reports findings to include departmental expenses and headcount.
    • Develops and maintains financial models for the consolidation of the product monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts and annual financial and strategic plans.
    • Directs, schedules, and coordinates the forecast and planning processes to insure schedule due dates are achieved.
    • Develops necessary financial models for use in the analysis process.
    • Analyzes, interprets and makes recommendations with regard to operating results compared to forecasts, financial plans and budgets.
    • Advises management of actual expenses and forecasts, trends and actions required.
    • Participation in the monthly close of the business unit including review of monthly account reconciliations.
    • Analyzes, interprets and instigates intervention where appropriate during ongoing projects.
    • Participates and drives Leadership Team meetings to focus on actions required and trends to be addressed relying on both data and personal relationships with other team members.
    • Conducts various high level confidential projects reporting directly to the VP.
    • Capital Expenditure Administrator:
      • Coordinates the entire Cap Ex function / process
      • Prepares and reviews all Appropriation Request Authorization (ARA) packages
      • Maintains and reviews Cap Ex Projects progress
    • Advises controllership function on control lapses and requirements.
    • Prepares and uploads monthly journal entries in the closing process through Oracle general ledger system.
    • Responsible for the monthly balance sheet reconciliation for quarterly review.
    • Assists in the annual physical inventory audit.
    • Supports any special projects.



    • Bachelor degree in Accounting or other relevant discipline. MBA is desirable.
    • Minimum of seven years’ professional work experience in Finance.
    • Must be familiar with profit and loss concepts, working capital cash impacts and capital expenditure evaluations.
    • Ability to manage multiple assignments, have good judgement, and prioritize time.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to interpret business situations and communicate ideas and concepts to varied audiences.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to build genuine relationships and the ability to handle conflict situations.
    • Strong MS Office Suite skills are necessary. SAP/Oracle experience preferred.
