  • Overview

    The International Tax Manager will be responsible for coordinating the overall tax compliance of Elliott Company’s foreign subsidiaries in accordance with foreign tax laws and regulations.  They will also assist with income tax accounting obligations as required for local statutory and ASC 740 purposes on a quarterly and annual basis as it relates to Elliott’s foreign subsidiaries.  The person will possess the ability to perform necessary research to ensure compliance and remain attentive to the perpetually changing tax environment particularly in light of tax reform.  The person will also have the desire to take ownership of their work product.


    Contact within Elliott will consist of:

    Foreign Controllers, Corporate Finance, Legal Department, Accounts Payable and Receivable


    Contact outside of Elliott will consist of:

    Accounting firms, tax consultants and software providers


    Person will be an individual contributor.  The position offers room for advancement.


    Minimal travel (domestic).





    • Assist in the preparation of foreign subsidiary quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with statutory requirements and ASC 740.
    • Coordination of foreign subsidiary income tax return preparation. Provide information to the appropriate tax service providers for preparation.
    • Coordination of quarterly foreign subsidiary income tax estimates and annual extension calculations with tax service providers.
    • Assist with foreign subsidiary US taxable income calculations for GILTI purposes under tax reform.
    • Provide assistance with foreign tax audits.
    • Gather support for all withholding taxes remitted.
    • Assist with determining VAT/GST applicability with regards to contracts and other situations that arise.
    • Assist with tax planning ideas in light of the international tax regimes established under tax reform.
    • Assist with transfer pricing studies and creation of policies to support.
    • Assist with Permanent Establishment (PE) analysis.
    • Perform research as needed to ensure compliance with all tax laws and financial reporting.
    • Other duties as required.



    • Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar relevant discipline required. CPA and/or advanced degree a plus.
    • At least five to seven years of relevant experience preferably with a large public accounting firm or large U.S. multinational corporation.
    • Strong understanding of US and Foreign Taxation of International Operations.
    • Knowledge of and experience with tax accounting in accordance with ASC 740.
    • Experience with Oracle and Hyperion/HFM is a plus.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with time management skills.
